King Golem is the boss in Moonlight Mansion, and is always done first in speedruns.

Stone Fight

Attack once Kirby overlaps the rightmost background mosaic, and cancel once you land a second hit. Then, mash the attack from there. The result should be 3 sets of 2 hits to finish the boss swiftly.

(An equally fast way of doing it is to do two sets of three hits. however, this is not recommended since you need an inhale cancel or a grounded attack for the second set. That depends on whether a Golem spawns or not, which is impossible to react to.)

Co-op

For every extra player, an additional set of 2 hits is needed. The exception is 4 player, for which the last set can include an inhale cancelled attack to land 3 hits.

Wheel Fight

This is a considerably more difficult strategy than using Stone for the fight.

You need at least 13 hits with Wheel at the start of the fight. The most efficient way to do this is by doing 3 tight turnarounds (each with a 5 frame window), followed by a final hit and attack cancel. This deals 26 damage out of the King Golem's 60 total hp, the rest of which is dealt with using a double star (24 damage) and a star bullet (10 damage). With efficient wheel turns, you have enough time to setup for a double star and shoot it at the boss. Then use a star bullet, either acquired from a Golem or a boulder (the latter being faster), to finish the boss. the most inconsistent part of this fight is stacking a double star with a variety of potential boulder patterns, which requires practice to react to.

Compared to Stone, the fight itself is slower, but due to earlier movement, using wheel saves over 2 seconds overall.

Co-op

Due to the large addition of health, Wheel is likely unfeasible for Co-op.
