Welcome to the Kirby Speedrunning Community!
The Kirby Speedrunning community is a small but close community of people who enjoy playing Kirby games quickly. We are always happy to see new faces, even if you are someone who just loves Kirby!
The Kirby series has always been targeted toward audiences that want a fun, easy-going gaming experience. We are happy to say that there are plenty of speedruns in the Kirby series that offer this, too. Kirby games are great for those who want to get introduced to the concept of speedrunning, as most games are easy to grasp and learn runs for.
For those who are looking for a challenge, the Kirby series offers many games that requires great optimization and has a high skill ceiling for top times.
Whatever you are looking for, we hope that this wiki provides easy access to your Kirby speedrunning needs!
About this Wiki
The Kirby Speedrun Wiki is meant to serve as a knowledge base for any and all information related to Kirby Speedrunning, whether that be RTA or TAS related. This also includes, but is not limited to, information about the inner workings of the games, such as ROM information, practice hacks, etc.
If you would like to add something that you do not see on this wiki, we welcome you to contribute by adding that information. If you are someone who has not contributed to a wiki before, or are uncertain if your contribution will be "worth it", we still appreciate contributions from anyone regardless of experience, and are willing to forgive any mistakes that are made. We also appreciate corrections to articles, whether that be regarding information, grammar, or formatting.
Given the nature of speedruns, there are bound to be changes in strategies and routes in many Kirby games. We strive to keep this wiki up to date with the most recent information, and to label articles that are out of date if they are yet to be completed.

History
The Kirby speedrunning scene has a long history, starting in about 201X. (I would prefer if someone from that time were to finish this section cuz im not even sure when it started).
The Kirby Speedrun Wiki was created on April 24, 2023 in an attempt to create an improved, centralized database for information regarding Kirby speedrunning that is easy to find. The wiki was originally founded by Grample, Nippo, Aidan, Rioyner, Turtle, TG, Pro_Hybrid, and Curtissimo, with translation help from Seryl. From there, the wiki has continued to be built. Though there are still many games that need information, we are confident that we will eventually have a wiki page complete for every single Kirby game.
Common Questions
Q: Which Kirby game should I start speedrunning?
A: If you have a game in mind, you should check out that game's page and see if the route looks interesting to you. The best Kirby game would be a game that you enjoy the most, so there is no definitive answer.
If you do not have a game in mind, you can look at the skill level chart, depending on if you would like an easy or challenging experience.
Q: I am worried about playing my desired game because it includes Mixing.
A: Mixing can be a hard hurdle to overcome due to its difficulty, but it can be easy to learn if enough time is put into it.
For help with mixing, see Mix.
Q: How can I participate in events (ex. yearly relay)?
A: Join our Discord. Regardless of skill level, you are more than welcome to ask to participate in the #relay channel!
